Payment must be made by noon on 12/18/24. After this date, the yearbooks will cost $35.00. Use the MES order number 14064 or scan the QR code on the flyer by clicking this news heading. There is a $3.99 convenience fee for online orders. Yearbooks ordered online can be personalized for $5.00.

Join us at MES for the BOO BASH on Thursday, October 24, from 5:30-7:00pm. Games, crafts, prizes, face painting, and more will be available for only a $5.00 entry fee per family. Students will be allowed to wear their Halloween costumes to the BOO BASH, but no weapons or scary/gory costumes are allowed. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Food will be available for an additional cost.

MES will host the Scholastic Book Fair in the library the week of October 14-18, 2024. Parent Teacher Conference night is Thursday, October 17, so you can plan to stop by the book fair while you are at school to meet with your child's teacher. Smyth County Schools will be closed on Friday, October 18, 2024, for fall break.

Fall Pictures are scheduled for Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Comb your hair, put on your best smile, and be ready for the fall photo session. Photographers will arrive early, so please be on time for school!

This after-school program is available Monday-Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm for $30.00 per week at MES. The program is provided through a collaboration with Smyth County and Smyth County Schools to provide a safe space and nurturing environment for children during after-school hours. The program also provides a snack, homework help, and recreational activities, and is staffed by Smyth County Schools employees. A representative will be available on Back to School night to meet with parents and answer any questions.

Future Hurricane Basketball Camp will be held June 3rd through the 5th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at MSHS Gym. Boys and Girls in grades 1-8 are eligible to participate.
